Jeremy was approached by a big 5 global Executive Search firm to coach and mentor a new continental Europe based Consultant who had recently joined from a boutique. The coaching focused on cultural challenges, developing relationships with new colleagues, succeeding within the political environment of a major firm and business planning and development.
Jeremy was referred to a telecoms executive in Nairobi whose contract with a major multi-national was expiring within 12 months and who was seeking coaching and career development support to ensure that she was able to create a better work-life balance, identify her strengths, development opportunities and ideal next role within another emerging market. We initially focused on coaching techniques to help her to establish the important elements of her personal and professional life and to enable her to find some balance between the two. We then focused on her career development and supported her search for a new role which led to a new executive role in South America.
A venture capital backed, London based mid-sized recruitment firm retained Jeremy to coach their CFO in her first role of this kind during a period of change that included a successful MBO. A highly competent FD, our work together focused on adding commercial focus to the role, operating as a business partner to the Partners, delegating to the finance team to improve time management and Board effectiveness.
Jeremy has been separately coaching two sector focused teams within a market leading London based recruitment firm focusing specifically on Marketing and Business Development strategy, planning and execution. During this time a new operating model has been developed to maximise BD focus amongst the senior team and collaboration around Key Account Management has been significantly improved.
CFO Advisory Career Development:
Jeremy was approached by a Fortune 100 CFO, based in California. The client was seeking support in his search for his next CFO role in the US. We focused on his search strategy, search tactics, CV preparation, headhunter and private equity introductions and interview techniques as well as due diligence and preparation for specific interviews and latterly offer negotiation support. He accepted an offer securing another public company CFO role during the assignment.
CFO Advisory Career Development:
Jeremy was referred to a UK based Private Equity Operating Company CFO who had recently successfully sold a significant asset and was seeking her next, and probably final CFO role, while planning a longer term portfolio of Board roles. We focused specifically on her interview technique, search strategy and CV preparation and supported her interview program through bespoke role specific interview practice while keeping her focused on her goals. She was offered and accepted a new CFO role in a privately owned multi-national which will be seeking to IPO in the short term.
